2004 Was A Year Of Success and 2005 Is Already Looking Good

In 2004, the top IT companies produced, on average, a 12% increase in revenues. And these increases were experienced by companies ranking throughout the top 250 positions. It is nonetheless impressive that these companies generated on average 12% higher revenues than 2003 given that Canada on average experienced a little more than 2.7% growth; we can certainly be delighted with these results.

Upon reviewing this year’s Branham300, I was delighted with its evolution and the inclusion of ICT Hardware and Infrastructure companies. It is always impressive to see the breadth of the Canadian IT industry. I was also struck by the level of gross revenues generated by the top 250 companies – over $49 billion.
Branham300 - The Year of Stabilization

The year 2003 marked a year of stabilization for the IT industry. In the post 9/11 and dot.com boom and bust eras, the Canadian ICT sector has begun to stabilize itself.
