Since our inception in 1990, Branham has firmly believed in giving back to the Ottawa community. Specifically, our activities revolve around children and the betterment of society for youth. We provide our support both financially and actively. And we have fun doing it. Some of the organizations of which we are a part include:
Tour Nortel (www.tournortel.com)
Tour Nortel is an annual fundraising event for the CHEO (Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario) Foundation, the Queensway-Carleton Hospital Foundation and the Perley Rideau Foundation. Participants collect pledges and cycle, in-line skate or walk to help kids with cancer and win great prizes. Branham was a co-sponsor in this years tour.
Kids and Sports
Quite often, where there are kids there are sports. We believe sport plays a positive role in the development of children, both in terms of personal achievement and team socialization. Branham helps a few organizations in this category. During the summer months, we sponsor a local soccer club and in the cold Canadian winter, Branham is a sponsor of the Blackburn Hamlet Minor Hockey Association. In both cases our contributibutions enable less fortunate children to have the opportunity to participate and have fun.
Youth Focus Canada
Building skills so that youth can be prepared for the future is the main focus of Youth Focus Canada. We, at Branham, believe contributing to the development of the skills of our youth, the next generation of leaders, is absolutely critical.
Children's Safety Association of Canada
Since 1994, the goal of the Children's Safety Association of Canada has been to provide as much information on child safety to as many parents as possible in order to reduce the number of preventable accidents in children. Branham supports this national organization in its quest to educate, and therefore prevent accidents before they happen.
Regional Safety and Prevention Guide
We also support the Regional Safety and Prevention Guide. This annual guide provides youth with some clear guidelines on what to do and not do in our challenging society.
