Branham Group Releases Update on Health Care and Digital Health in Ontario

This report provides an update on the important happenings in the health care market in Ontario in 2011

- Ottawa, Ontario - Branham Group Inc., a leading global Information and Communication Technology (ICT) analyst and strategic marketing consultancy, today released a report titled "Ontario Update," which provides an update on the goings on in the health care sector and Digital Health in the province of Ontario over the past year.

In 2011, the Government of Ontario continued its commitment to strengthening its health care system. From changes to legislature to millions of dollars pledged to hospital upgrades and continued support for various strategies, a great deal of activity has taken place in Ontario over the last year. With the eHealth initiatives back on track after the organizational setback in 2008-09, the province is now on the right track to achieving an electronic health record within years to come. The continued investment in improving hospital infrastructure and offering more health care services closer to where the citizen’s live through Family Health Teams and Nurse Practitioner led clinics, the province has managed to become the leader in reducing wait times in the country.
