Branham Group Privacy Policy

Branham Group and your privacy
At Branham Group we respect your right to privacy and we understand that, as a visitor to branhamgroup.com, branhamawards.com, and branham300.com, you prefer to control your own personal information and preferences. For this reason, we may ask you to register or to provide personal information and preferences when you visit certain areas of these sites, request information, or subscribe to Branham's newsletter.

We will guard the personal information you share with us to ensure the content, services, and advertising that we provide on Branham web sites are always tailored to your current, designated preferences.

When you provide Branham Group with your name (or alias), e-mail address, mailing address, or telephone number, and you "opt in," Branham Group and Branham Group representatives may use the provided information to alert you to upcoming events, special offers, updated information, new services, and other Branham Group information. ("Representatives" include Branham Group employees and authorized associates.) Branham Group does not offer, or allow the selling of, any user-provided information to third parties.

Branham Group respects the rights users give us when opting to receive e-mail communications and enforces internal policies to preserve those rights. It is our objective to retain the long-term ability to continue to communicate with our users.

If you do not want Branham Group or Branham Group representatives to contact you, you may "opt out" of this preference at any time, whether you're online or contacting Branham Group directly. As part of your preference flexibility, you'll always have the option to opt back in and have Branham Group contact you based on your previous or new preferences. For instructions, please see the section "Contact Us," below.

If you choose not to register or provide personal information, you can still visit Branham Group websites; however, you will not have access to areas that require personal identification; example, the Branham300 application.

Branham Group membership and the use of log files (cookies)
Branham Group offers free newsletter and application membership to all branhamgroup.com visitors. In order to establish membership, visitors are requested to provide personal information. The amount and level of information requested is directly dependent on the application process and is stored and protected by your user-established UserID and encrypted Password.

On Occasion, there may be an additional "Remember me" option for secure sections of Branham Group web sites. By selecting it, you allow Branham Group to save your UserID so you don't have to re-enter it each time you return to these particular sections. Branham Group remembers you by placing a log file (cookie) that contains only enough information to identify you upon return visits. No information, other than that found in the account cookie, will be accessed by any Branham Group system. Access to your membership information always requires both your UserID and Password.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that can be stored on your local machine. A cookie file can contain information, such as a user identification code, that the site uses to maintain a personalized look and feel on the pages you have visited. Contrary to popular belief, they cannot be used to send viruses. However, with a bit of careful and devious programming, they can be used to track people as they browse through websites, and for this reason many people mistrust them.

Most web browsers automatically accept cookies. This default action can be changed in the settings to display a warning before accepting a cookie, or to refuse cookies entirely. However, if you choose to disable the receipt of cookies from our web site, you may not be able to use certain features of the Branham Group sites.

Branham Group also utilizes visitor log files with our websites. We collect this information and use it to compile general statistics such as how many people visit which parts of the site. This information is collected in aggregate form only and does not collect any personally identifiable information or correlate this information with the personal data of any user.

How Branham Group will protect your personal information
Branham Group will always protect the personal information that you share with us. Branham Group stores information internally in a controlled, secure environment. If, for example, you make a payment online, we route all transactions through SSL (Secure Socket Layers) and will process your credit card number only to secure your current payment. The SSL transaction does not retain your credit card number subsequent to the transaction at hand and will not use the number for marketing purposes.

If Branham Group requests general demographic information, this information is limited to reporting purposes only; members remain anonymous. Phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and postal addresses are never shared for demographic reports with outside entities.

Branham Group may occasionally present a special contest or promotion that is sponsored by another company. To qualify for entry, we may ask you to provide personal information. If we plan to share that information with the sponsor(s), we will provide an up-front statement to that effect.

Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our website.
